What is CSR?
Corporate Social Responsibility is the continuing commitment by business to behave ethically and contribute to economic development while improving the quality of life of the workforce and their families as well as of the local community and society at large. (as defined by The World Business Council for Sustainable Development )
Is CSR important ?
According to Forbes, 41% of how people feel about a company is based on their perceptions of the firms CSR practice, and public opinion is improved if a company is seen to be giving back and caring.
“CSR speaks to who the company is, what it believes in and how it is doing business,” “It’s a core element of reputation and can be used to help establish trust and goodwill amongst stakeholders. [Almost half] of people’s willingness to trust, admire, and feel good about a company is based on their perceptions of the corporate social responsibility of the company, so this is a key tool for companies to use to improve support from stakeholders like consumers, regulators, financial community, and employees.” (Kasper Ulf Nielsen, executive partner at Reputation Institute )
“A company’s CSR reputation can also have a significant impact on their recruitment efforts. It’s important for companies to know that there are students out there who value CSR highly when choosing an employer and not to forget to communicate that message to target likeminded employees.” (Melissa Murray Bailey, Universum’s president of the Americas)
How will it benefit my company?
- Improves reputation
- Attracts high quality and committed employees
- Creates value for all stakeholders (e.g. anyone who has a direct or indirect interest in a company) in a business, not just shareholders
How can sponsoring Trekinetic Wheelchairs help?
By sponsoring a chair, your company will be providing a benefit to disabled people and their families, by enabling them to visit and take part in activities, where normally, due to the difficult terrain, access is often restricted.
Your company will enable individuals to be included, have an equal opportunity to access parks, festivals, beaches etc, experience increased confidence and freedom.
Regardless of size, all companies can adopt a CSR programme, and as part of ours, we will donate to a charity of your choice, £100 for every chair purchased.
