At just 36kg with the wheels on, the Trekinetic GTE is probably the lightest powered wheelchair in the world. Both the powered Trekinetic GTE & the manual Trekinetic K2 wheelchairs can be lifted either with the wheels on, or off, and placed in multiple ways in almost any car, from a Mustang to a 4×4. They are sufficiently compact to fit in a boot, on a back seat or even behind a front one. And thanks to another brilliant piece of engineering, the Trekinetic when disassembled is now 70mm lower which means it will fit into even more cars.
Alternatively, if lifting is not your ‘thing’ Trekinetic wheelchairs can easily be hoisted.
Of course they are perfect for holidays overseas. To fly with your Trekinetic, simply unscrew and remove the joystick and pop it safely in your hand luggage. It is so easy to travel with the Trekinetic all terrain wheelchairs, one owner was happy to share her own experience with us. Read all about Helen and her powered GTE’s first flight to the US on our blog; Flying with a Trekinetic… the world is my oyster!
And finally, of course cars are not the only means of transportation. Below are just a few of the other methods our owners have employed!
